theCURVYcon was a plus-size fashion and lifestyle convention that took place in NYC in June of 2015. Boasting a lineup of A-list influencers in the curvy community, including hosts CeCe Olisa and Chastity Garner, bloggers Gabi Fresh, Nadia Aboulhosn, Essie Golden, and keynote speaker, actress and singer Amber Riley, theCURVYcon demanded chic and stylish art direction.

I designed the onepage site, the logo, and a style guide, as well, to ensure uniformity and a consistent branding experience across all assets, particularly any materials created after my engagement. An old-fashioned ice cream parlor theme was my way of putting a unique twist on the clean, minimalist approach so prevalent amongst fashion and beauty brands. That included a pastel color palette, thick stripes, and vintage-style typography and signage. The logo, however, is all modern--two interlocking C's that suggest an infinity symbol.
