I had this distinct honor and pleasure of designing the wedding suite (invitation, program, and menu) for Washington, DC power couple Loryn Wilson Carter and Neal Carter. From the moment I learned their wedding theme was Art Deco I was excited about tackling the project. I've long been an admirer of the symmetrical intricacy of the Art Deco aesthetic; it was a welcome challenge to experiment with it. In order to establish a consistency with all three assets, especially considering the invite was printed in gold foil on black paper but the menu and program were printed in black on gold paper, I designed a logo of sorts for the couple as well--a capital "C" within an inverted triangle that was repeated on all the printed materials.
